G. P. Tripathi at present Director-cum-Emeritus Professor of Law in MATS Law Schoo-MATS University, Raipur, Chhattisgarh. He is nearing completion of 50 years of his teaching cum research experience in various universities including Allahabad University (now Central University), Gorakhpur University, Sagar University (now Dr. H.S.G. Central University), Sagar, MP, Lucknow, Kanpur, Agra, Meerut and Bhoj University, Bhopal. He has been the Visiting Professor of Law in HNLU, Raipur and CNLU, Patna. He became Professor, HOD and Dean in 1980 and has since occupied various positions as Principal (Lucknow, Meerut, Agra, Kanpur) and as Director(Subharti University, Meerut, U.R) and MATS Law School
