Bimal N. Patel, PhD (Leiden), PhD (Jaipur), LLM (Leiden) is Director and Professor of Public International Law at Gujarat National Law University, India. He is the author and editor of works on international courts and tribunals, law of the sea and maritime law, state practice and international law, international organizations and arms control and disarmament. Mr Patel has designed, taught and supervised research activities and projects in various universities in Asia-Pacific region and Europe. He has also prepared administrative, procedural and substantive jurisprudence of the International Court of Justice (ICJ), the International Criminal Tribunal for former Yugoslavia (ICTY) and International Labour Organisation Administrative Tribunal (Geneva). He has extensive international administrative knowledge and experience of serving the UN. Mr Patel currently holds membership of world\'s reputed international law associations such as American Society of International Law, Indian Society of International Law, International Law Association and is serving various international legal research committees.
