The book has two parts viz., Basics of Banking and PMJDY. The first part covers an overview of basics of banking, the structure of banking system and the functions of Banks. The roles and responsibilities of BC agents and essentials of financial counselling, elements of cash flows and its significance in determining the loan amount, disbursement schedule and repayment schedule are also discussed.
Part two of the book focuses on PMJDY in detail and the role of BC agent. It describes vision, mission, scope, targets & achievements of PMJDY, various components of PMJDY including RuPay debit card, overdraft facility, life insurance cover, accidental insurance cover, claim settlement, micro Insurance, pension services, Swavalamban Scheme, remittance services and Direct Benefit Transfer etc
